ABOUT CAET

CAET is an Interdenominational Service Ministry

History

It’s been 50 years long journey of God’s faithfulness

The history of Christ’s Ambassadors Evangelistic Team (CAET), is a massive catalog of the giant and gallant strides the missionary outfit took in planting and entrenching the Christian faith in villages, towns, schools, homes, churches, and even prisons primarily in South West, Nigeria. From her humble beginning in 1971, as a post-tertiary fellowship designed to cement the faith and steps of the graduates of Ibadan Technical College (now known as The Polytechnic, Ibadan), Oyo State, Nigeria, she has grown into a hydra-headed evangelistic outfit with her tentacles in several villages and towns.

Soon, the evangelistic drive of the team blossomed into crusades which were held in various locations – Ilare, Sekona, Ode-Omu, Apomu, Akanran, Osogbo, Iyana-Offa, Ipetumodu, Gbongan, and Ibadan. These crusades brought the gospel of Christ to the doorsteps of rural communities as well as urban centers. Many souls were won to Christ sometimes with spectacular miracles. However, challenges – physical and spiritual – surfeited from the unbelieving world with “principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.” But members of the team forged ahead undaunted in their resolve to “preach Christ and Him crucified”.

Our Aims

  • “To be a service ministry for the growth of individual members and entire church unto the measure of the fullness of the stature of Christ and shall not in any way constitute into a denominational church.”
  • “To strengthen the faith of individual members and others in the Lord Jesus Christ.”
  • “To hold up the standard of God’s word for daily living in home, school or work.”
  • “To preach and teach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ faithfully, without addition, subtraction or partiality.”
  • “To hold firm the faithful word as taught, and to be able by sound doctrine, teach, exhort and convince the gainsayers.”
  • “To cooperate with other Christian bodies solely dedicated to the commission of our Master in the extension of God’s kingdom on earth.”
  • “To contend for the faith of the suffering persecuted brethren anywhere in the world.”
  • “To teach methods of evangelism and hold camps, retreats, crusades, and open-air gospel campaigns and house-to-house evangelism.”

What We Believe

  • The Trinity of the Godhead and unity of the persons (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) therein. The Lordship of Jesus Christ, as is revealed in the whole of the Holy Scriptures. The Divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Bible in all matters of faith and conduct. The utter depravity of the whole human nature and guilt of all mankind since the fall, thereby rendering them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation. Redemption from the guilt, penalty, pollution, and power of sin solely through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate son of God.

  • The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus alone by which one is born again.

  • The sanctification of all born-again believers as a means and the possibility of attaining unto Holiness in this present world commencing from the new birth experience.
  • The baptism of the Holy Ghost for the born-again believer denoting the enduement of power from on high for service with signs and wonders following.

  • The utmost free will of man in matters of choice at any stage of the Christian life.

  • The possibility of losing salvation and becoming apostate in spite of whatever experiences one has had in the Christian life.

  • The corporal resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, His ascension, and our expectation of His physical personal return soon.

  • One holy Universal Church, which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.

  • The sovereignty of God in creation, redemption, and final judgment of mankind.
